GSW Stay Wire Guy Wire Standard Galvanized Steel Wire Strand ASTM A475 Standard

Galvanized steel wire also names GSW Wire, Messenger Wire, Overhead Ground or Stay Wire, Guy Wire, GI Wire. All galvanized steel wire strand is manufactured with high tensile wires. The wires are twisted helically to form the strand. The standard wires for wire strands and ropes are made of galvanized steel.

    Applications

Galvanized steel wire strands (Stay Wire) are used for sustaining mechanical load. Generally they are made up of 6 wires stranded around 1 wire, twisting 7 wires together. A common use for stay wires is in the electricity industry, using the wire to stay power poles and tower structures.

    Construction

    1. The single wires are concentrically stranded and wrapped helically around a central wire.

    2. Zinc-coated grade of steel strand wire /guy wire: Class A ,Class B and class C.

Concentrically stranded Galvanized steel wire strand available in class “A”, “B” and “C” galvanizing, “A” being the least heavy and “C” being the most heavy.
