AAAC All Aluminium Alloy Conductor ASTM B 399B 399M Standard

All Aluminium Alloy Conductors (AAAC) are used as a bare overhead conductor for power transmission and distribution lines that require a larger mechanical resistance than AAC, and better corrosion resistance than ACSR.

    Applications

All Aluminium Alloy Conductors (AAAC) are mainly used as bare overhead transmission cable and as primary and secondary distribution cable, also suitable for laying in basins, rivers and canyons with special geographical characteristics.

    Construction

All Aluminium Alloy Conductor (AAAC) consists of Aluminum Alloy 6201 wires, concentrically stranded, similar in construction and appearance to 1350 grade aluminum conductors.

    Feature

AAAC conductors have good mechanical properties and electrical conductivity,an economical conductor for overhead applications requiring higher strength than that obtainable with 1350 grade aluminum conductors without a steel core.
